Summary[edit]

Warning The original file is very high-resolution. It might not load properly or could cause your browser to freeze when opened at full size.
Description
English: Poster: "The Black Patti, Mme. M. Sissieretta Jones, The Greatest Singer of her Race". Color lithograph ; sheet 77 x 50 cm.

Restorationist's Note: I hate the text on this. Hits some of the worst Victorian ways of writing about other races than white. I did this restoration for Jones, not the copyist writing about her.

Presumably based off of the set of photographs by Napoleon Sarony of her in 1895: Compare File:Napoleon Sarony - photograph of Sissieretta Jones - Original.jpg
Русский: Театральный постер 1899 года с рекламой певицы Сиссьеретты Джонс
Українська: Театральний плакат 1899 року про Сіссієретту Джонс. Вона народилася цього дня в 1868 році.

Description British
Image restorationist, composer, amateur photographer and artist, and Wikipedian
As Adam lives in Britain, which makes it incredibly easy to acquire copyright in his works, he grants, if needed, an irrevokable license to use this work however you see fit. He requests attribution where possible, and realises that "where possible" means that that request is not legally enforcable. Adam Cuerden (talk) 15:44, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
